Tami J. Dunham, CPA Data Breach

Tami J. Dunham, CPA, an accounting firm, has notified individuals that it identified suspicious activity on its computer network in late May 2025. After bringing in cybersecurity specialists to investigate, the firm determined that an unknown, unauthorized actor viewed and downloaded certain files between May 24, 2025 and May 26, 2025. This falls under hacking or system intrusion, meaning someone outside the organization gained unauthorized access to its systems rather than the breach originating from a lost device or an employee mistake. The firm says it then worked with data review specialists to figure out exactly whose information was in those files, a process it describes as time-intensive, before mailing notification letters.
