Print Media Association (PMA) has notified individuals that an unauthorized third party gained access to certain employee email accounts between May 1 and May 5, 2025. PMA says it became aware of the suspicious activity on May 5, 2025, took steps to contain it, and brought in outside investigators to determine what happened and whose information may have been affected. This falls under what’s generally described as a case of hacking or system intrusion, where someone outside the organization gets into internal systems without permission. It took until August 11, 2025 for PMA to finish reviewing the affected email accounts and confirm whose personal information was included.
