GITSIT Solutions, LLC has notified affected individuals about a cyber incident in which an unknown, unauthorized actor gained access to certain company computer systems and accessed and/or acquired files stored on them. GITSIT says it was alerted to suspicious activity on November 15, 2024, and its subsequent investigation determined that the unauthorized access actually took place on November 14 and 15, 2024. This falls under hacking or system intrusion, meaning an outside party broke into GITSIT’s network rather than the information being lost, misplaced, or shared through a phishing email or a vendor’s system. GITSIT states it moved quickly to secure its environment, launched an investigation, and has been working to add further security protections since the incident was discovered.
