EmCentrix says it experienced a network disruption on August 14, 2024, and brought in independent cybersecurity experts to investigate. That investigation determined that certain files had been accessed or acquired without authorization — a form of hacking or system intrusion. After a lengthy review of the affected files, the company learned on June 16, 2025 that some of your personal information was included in the data that may have been exposed, which is why this notice was sent nearly a year after the incident began.
The letter is addressed to individuals whose personal information was found within the files that were accessed. EmCentrix has not stated a total number of people affected in the portion of the notice we reviewed, and it says it has no current evidence that any of the information has been misused.

What should you do now?
- Enroll in the free IDX identity protection services before the September 26, 2025 deadline, since credit monitoring and ID theft recovery support are already being offered to you at no cost.
- Review your bank and credit card statements closely for any charges or account activity you don’t recognize, and report anything suspicious to your financial institution right away.
- Request a free copy of your credit report from each of the three major bureaus at www.annualcreditreport.com and look for accounts you didn’t open.
- Consider placing a free initial fraud alert or a security freeze with Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, which makes it harder for someone to open new credit in your name.
